Here you will find paintings of my family's vacation resort. In the Spring of 2018 I will have paintings and greeting cards for sale in their gift shop all painted from views around the lodge. I am very excited to see where that may lead.

About Me
My Background
As long as I can remember I have been in love with trees. As a child I had many trees in my yard. I spent a lot of time outside and they were shade from the sun, fun to climb, build tree houses in, hide behind, one supported my tire swing, and then there was the one that had fallen down that made the best space ship ever. Every chance I got I would sit and sketch trees. As I grew older my love of trees grew into an appreciation for the beauty of nature therefore expanding my painting into whole landscapes. Thru high school I took all the art classes I could take and as a senior I was Artist of the Year. I continued to paint until I married then was unable to paint again until after I divorced and went back to college in 2013. Coming back to my first love has brought me great joy and now at 42 years old I am making my life long dream a reality.
My Medium
My favorite medium to use is acrylic; however, I also use soft pastels, colored pencils, graphite, pen and ink, and charcoal.
My Inspiration
My inspiration comes from everything I see that is beautiful. I collect calendars from whoever will give me their old ones, I take drives at various times a day and photograph everything I see, I ask friends and family to take photos and send them to me so that I main gain different perspectives. Finding inspiration can also come in forms of dreams. I have had several dreams that when I wake up I have a painting in my head that I must get down on canvas right away. I think I also paint to inspire others.
